Vendor onboarding — about five minutes, start to finish
A retailer you work with just invited you onto ShelfSpace. Here's exactly what that is, why your information is safe, and how quick it is to get set up.
ShelfSpace is how the retailer you work with handles the money side — receiving your product, tracking what actually sells, and paying you on time.
Here's the whole picture. You ship your product, ShelfSpace tracks every unit and every sale, and you get paid — accurately, and right on schedule. This form is just how you get set up.
This link came straight from that retailer, and it's just for you. Everything you enter is shared only with them — never sold, never made public.
The whole thing takes about five minutes. And if you get pulled away, your progress saves as you go — so you can pick it right back up.
First, the basics about your business — your legal name, the brands you carry, and your state license number.
And where payments and questions should land — so your checks and your updates always reach the right inbox.
Next is your W-9 — the one tax form the retailer needs on file before they can pay you.
It's encrypted, shared only with your retailer for tax reporting, and every single view is logged — you're even notified the moment your documents are opened.
Then you choose how you'd like to work together.
Consignment, or wholesale. Most vendors do better on consignment — you get paid as your product sells, with more reorders and no risk to the retailer. Not sure yet? Just say so, and they'll talk it through with you.
Last, you confirm you understand how it all works.
One box to confirm, a quick security check to prove you're human, and you submit. So — what happens next?
That's it — you're all set. The retailer is notified the moment you submit, and they'll reach out with your next steps. Welcome aboard.
