One change that does help is addressing the reader by name. So every reminder from ShelfSpace greets the store by its own name, and it comes from your brand, by name too.

The second thing that works is asking for a reply. A store that writes back with a date is already halfway to paying. So every email ends with two choices. Pay here, or reply with a date.

Stores pay late for three main reasons. Not enough cash. A slow payment process. Or a question about the invoice. And each reason tends to show up at a different point.

That's why your reminders change at each stage. You'll find them under Collections, on the Settings tab. Each stage covers a range of days past due, with its own subject line and message.

Early on, the problem is usually process. In the first month, the email says the invoice may have missed a payment run, and asks for the date it's going out.

After thirty days, it checks for a problem. Is anything holding up this invoice, like a short shipment, or a pricing question? Reply, and it gets fixed.

Later on, it's usually cash. So the email offers to split the balance into a payment plan, and partial payments work too.

From there, it asks who handles payables at the store. Then it asks for a reply within three business days. The last one says your team will follow up directly. And past a hundred and twenty days, a reminder goes out every two weeks.

And every word is yours. Rewrite a subject line, change a message, add your own sign-off, or switch a stage off. Preview any stage to see exactly what the store gets, then save.

Our starting wording never threatens. If you want firmer words later on, you add them yourself, on purpose. And the emails go out in your brand's name, from your own mailbox if you connect it.

Reminders that ask the right question, at the right time. Set yours up under Collections, then Settings.
