Your Cannabis Dispensary Analytics Dashboard
ShelfSpace includes a cannabis dispensary analytics dashboard that updates as your sales and inventory data flows through the platform. Instead of pulling reports from your POS, exporting spreadsheets, and building pivot tables, you get a single view of what is selling, what is sitting, and where your cash is tied up.
We built the Insights module because most dispensary operators we work with were making vendor decisions based on gut feel. The data existed in their POS, but nobody had time to extract it, clean it, and compare vendors side by side. ShelfSpace does that for you as part of the consignment and accounts payable workflows you already use.
Sales Velocity and Dead-Money Heatmap
The velocity view shows how fast each product category and SKU moves off your shelves. Products are ranked by units sold per week, revenue per shelf-foot, and days on hand. When a product stops moving, it shows up in the dead-money heatmap.
Dead money is inventory that occupies shelf space but generates little or no revenue. The heatmap groups slow movers by vendor so you can have an informed conversation about swapping SKUs, adjusting pricing, or negotiating aging discounts. See Aging Discounts for how ShelfSpace handles that process.
Cash Liberation
Cash liberation measures the difference between what you would have spent on wholesale purchase orders upfront and what you actually paid through consignment settlements after products sold. This number tells you exactly how much working capital ShelfSpace freed up in a given week, month, or quarter.
For operators running tight margins, cash liberation is the single most important metric. It shows the real financial impact of moving vendors from wholesale to consignment through ShelfSpace.
Vendor Scorecards
Every vendor in your ShelfSpace network gets a scorecard based on actual sell-through data. Scorecards track volume, velocity, growth trends, and delivery reliability. You can use them to compare vendors within a category, renegotiate terms with underperformers, or double down on your best partners. See the full breakdown in Vendor Scorecards.
Who Sees What
Retailer portal users see the full dashboard across all vendors. Vendor portal users see only their own performance data for the locations they supply. Both views pull from the same underlying dataset, so the numbers always match.
